Birthday, Anniversary, or any Special Day Certification numbers?

oih82w8oih82w8 Posts: 12,471 ✭✭✭✭✭
As a Paper Currency collector as well as coins, there are 8 digits to a serial number in which special dates can be found, example: 03181997 would be indicative of someone who was born on Mar 18, 1997 or an anniversary, etc...

Have you ever looked up your special day in the PCGS Certification database and see what coin shares your special day?

My birthday corresponds with a 1935-S Buffalo Nickel in MS65. (I think that it would be really to cool to have this Buffalo Nickel, in the PCGS holder of course)

My anniversary shares the cert # as a 2006 Silver Eagle First Strike in MS69

Please do not share your actual date(s) due to potential data gathering.

Most importantly, have fun!

That's too easy - you need to actually find the slab or piece of currency. image

Here's one where the cert number actually contains the date on the coin.

I am certain that the date in question is part of the special date, not the coin itself. Coincidental nevertheless.

A neat coincidence... my birthdate cert no. is a 1918 Illinois (Lincoln) Commemorative Half Dollar in MS65 image Pretty neat.

I also know a forum member who has a $2 bill w/ the serial number being his birthdate image
