Well, that was weird.

On an Ebay auction with 1 minute remaining, I placed a max bid. Someone jumps in, makes 7 bids, the last matching my max bid exactly. I win by default having placed my bid earlier. The other thing, this lone bidder has exactly the same number in feedback that I have. I did check his ebay code name and it did show that he has made 27 bids on 11 items in the last 30 days so....I guess it's a real person.

Nothing like a trip to the PO to learn what day it is.
Did you stop at the bank on the way home from the P.O.?

Are you wondering if the coin was artificially bid up by a shill ?
That would be my only concern, although I don't see how it's possible.

Yes I did. Another time in an old Teletrade auction, placed a max $800 and at the start of the bidding.....bam, the opening bid was $800.

It's pretty easy to bid 7 times in 1 minute on eBay. Luckily he didn't bid 8 times
or ran out of time to do it. be thankful.
