High grade Irish Free State pieces in uncirculated grades are quite scarce. Here are two news, both perhaps in the condition census.

    As a veteran of the Irish predecimal series, you don't need to tell me how tough some of this stuff is in MS! Considering Ireland's place on the world stage and in history, it's really quite surprising how tiny the mintages of some of their modern coins were.

    Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

    As always, nice coins Brian. Looks like some tough dates you found there. I'm guessing that Half Crown is fully lustrous, the edge toning adding to the eye appeal.

    Thanks. The 1933 came from one of the 1928 mint sets which are relatively common. Often the bank ran out of 1928's to make the set so another date was substituted. Many of these have been dipped anobviously this one retains what is a characteristic look for those early silver dates which came from such a source.



    I also have a gem 39 3P, a key date, which I will image soon.
