Premium for Circulated Silver Dollars

When dealers buy junk silver I know that a silver dollar will be worth more than 2 halves, 4 quarters or ten dimes. How much more will a dealer usually pay for the silver dollar over $1.00 in face value for silver coins? Thanks.

I have been buying them in this area in the cull-BU range all for $17 from a particular dealer. I have no idea what they are paying them for, but I guarantee they are still making money on me. They also don't differentiate pricing based on denominations, just weight of silver.

How much are dealers selling them for? Locally it is about $22. for G-F coins.

My experience puts pre-1921 Morgans in a different class than 1921s and Peace. Of course we're talking ave circ common dates.

If $1 junk 90% bid is 10x face then,

    1921 Morgan/Peace 12x,

    pre-1921 Morgan 13x.

    As always YMMV.

Last week, at a 'We buy gold' place, they were buying at $10... no premiums for condition...

    Hard case dealer. Cheers, RickO
