Thanks to Chris at NEN for remembering I collect very worn coins for my Dansco 7070 set. I received this one in the mail today from him. Although this won't be sent to PCGS, if it was shouldn't it grade PO01 because the worst side of the coin grades Poor? even though the obverse has Good details? I really don't know how this coin was worn this way.

The curved fifty cent clad commemorative Hall of Fame Coin. Only lays flat on one side.

It would not be graded since the mint mark (philly or New Orleans) could not be identified.

It would not have worn that way naturally in circulation...loks like the reverse was planed or of taken to a sidewalk and rubbed off. I have been wrong before.

I agree... the reverse has had direct effort applied to bring it to that condition. Cheers, RickO
