I will edit the original post and take down the link out of respect for the forum and the hobby. I'm amused it has gotten this far though. Will that appease you?

Thank you. The only "bad" thing I really said was that I was skeptical that you had nothing to do with that company. Your first post set off some alarm bells for me and others. And now I am less skeptical. I don't think that is such a bad word. Since we don't even know each other, it wouldn't bother me if you were skeptical about me too.
  • PGA-My apologies if my earlier post seemed like an attack on you. I was attacking the Christmas racks. This junk simply is another company / set of dealers ripping off the uninformed. I did not realize you were uninformed on this hobby staple of forgeries.

PGA- I was pointing out that the product was crap and not you as a collector. It does piss me off that people try to defraud collectors like this type of product that was originally mentioned. If your post allowed you saving the 1.4K by asking and we jumped on you then consider it a blessing. My sincere apologizes if I was one that offended you.

  • Well this thread definitely got heated and I want to sincerely apologize for bringing that nonsense with regards to that shady company to this forum. By no means am I a supporter of companies like that and I honestly didn't know that people were doing things like packaging cards up and selling them off as unopened packs and racks of 52 topps cards odor any other cards for that matter. I've been collecting the 52 topps set for over 2 1/2 years now and it's disgusting to see these shady companies try and do stuff like this. With that being said, I would like to actively participate in this forum and in doing so I would like to end this thread by saying that I will be posting a new thread that will introduce myself so I can be a part of this community so people will know that I'm not a supporter of any of these companies that do things like this… Again I had no clue that people will actually put together packs and racks of cards that were only made or put together 5 to 10 years ago. So over the next few hours, please take the time and read my next thread that I will be writing. i'm actually glad that I was able to find out before it was too late about these types of shenanigans that go on. So again, be on the lookout for a new thread about my 52 topps set and feel free to engage in the conversation as I know people are just looking out for everyone's best interest. Thanks in advance and no hard feelings

You don't owe anybody an apology. Several people, still, owe you one.

I think when you see a poster who has very little posts, begin a thread and it is about something that promotes selling something that is questionable. You are going to get lit up- wrong or right. This board is full of sharks and alts that rub people the wrong way. Saying this, we are a community of great collectors who desire to protect, correctly advise and educate each other. I think we have all been burned one time or another by dishonest people. Which is why the "true" group of collectors are here to protect their friends. Looking forward to knowing you more (not your height or weight) but just information on what you know about those sets that you have a passion for.

In my opinion, save your cash for a PSA graded 52t nickel pack. You just might pull some PSA 8 commons and get some money back. Also, I'd be interested in eating the gum

While I would not be inclined to open my 52 pack so you could try the gum, I do have a few extra pieces of the Topps 1980 Thirst Break gum. It is still gooey and chewy....although more brown than green at this point

  • That's a sick 52 Topps pack ... I'd probably hate myself afterwards but I'd have to rip that thing.

What would a PSA graded pack go for?
