Ditto. I would like to visit "The Granite Lady" one day.
A number of years ago I toured the old mint building during an ANA show (2005? - I can't recall). At any rate, one of the coolest things I think I've ever seen (from a numismatic standpoint) is the floors and walls in some of the vaults have impressions the size of silver dollars from the immense weight of stored bags over the ages. It was surreal.
I'm glad they are going to preserve the building.
No one likes to pay taxes, but I gladly support spending tax money to keep old buildings with substantial history useful in today's world.
