Krugerrand put in Salvataion Army kettle

The generous guy only had 2 coins in his pocket. A quarter and a Krugerrand.



He kept the quarter so he'd have something of value in his old age.

    Can't think of a better use for a krugerrand. The Salvation Army does wonderful work--around here, anyway.

    That used to happen each year when I lived in Seattle.... do not know if it has continued.

    A guy I knew, that just passed away last month, used to put a British Sovereign in the kettle and one in the offering plate at church every Christmas.
