For the re-cac, did you just submit it to be CAC'd on its own or did you send in the old cert # to show it is the same coin in a new holder? I know that there were previously questions about that process...

I did not send in any imaging to support the request, it was based upon the old cert #, which is the present cert # since the variety attribution was added and not submitted for regrading, which would have changed the cert #, if it upgraded.

Were there any surprises in your submission? By that I mean, were you really expecting a CAC sticker on some coins that did not receive them, or were you somewhat surprised by others that did receive a CAC sticker? Obviously, I am not asking you to list what coins did not receive a sticker or what coins you thought might be liners; but only asking if you were surprised by some results.

Big Congrats. I have 10 dimes in to CAC right now and am hoping for some beans. I will post when they come back. Nice coins.

Congrats! I have some coins I'd like to submit, but I’m not currently a member and looks like they're not currently accepting new memberships.

No surprise that any of them CAC'ed, otherwise I would not have submitted them.

    I was surprised on two that did not CAC;

    1846 50C WB-105 DDO PCGS XF40

1877-CC 50C Closed Bud Med CC RPD WB-104 PCGS XF-45

The consensus of the forum thought that the 1846 50C was undergraded and a shoo-in for CAC.

The 1877-CC 50C is a real beauty (IMO), but after all it is an opinion of CAC.

70% is very good. I average about %40 percent maybe 35%. Great eye you have!

It certainly looks like those are undergraded.
    Perhaps he questioned the color

    That's a great return at 70%.

    Mine was 50%.

Congrats! I am building a 1950-1964 Toned Proof Set so I might take some of my coins to visit QA at FUN next month.

Looking at the list that got beans, they must be some very pretty coins.
Are you putting together a type set or just buy nice coins?
  • oih82w8oih82w8 Posts: 12,617 ✭✭✭✭✭
I am putting together a U.S. Major U.S. Type Set, No Gold (Dansco 7070), focusing on Varieties. I have one spot remaining, Seated Dollar with Motto.
