Unusual 1-oz Ag stuff

WeissWeiss Posts: 9,942 ✭✭✭✭✭
I don't get to the vault much now that I'm pretty comfortable with what I have. There's really no need to. If I acquire much now it's bits and pieces I think are interesting.

But I had a chance to visit recently and I dug out some of the 1 ounce silver pieces I've acquired over the last 8 or 10 years. These aren't rare like the odd weight old pour stuff that collectors go nuts for. Just stuff that's not your typical generic buffalo rounds.

Feel free to comment, feel free to post your own "unusual but not especially rare" stuff:

And some transitional Engelhard 10 ounce bars:

Some interesting silver there....I have picked up some rounds that were simply appealing

(to me).... or as a gift for someone. Cheers, RickO

Thanks, guys. That pair of Liberty Trade Silver "torch" rounds are MTB / Johnson Matthey. You can see the tiny JM mark just past 6:00. I think they made identical Engelhard rounds, too.

I've got a dansco album for silver rounds that I keep unusual 1oz pieces in ... this is by far my favorite.

Minted by Mother Lode Mint, they are most known for their rectangular art bars in the 70's. I've never seen a "round" from them aside from this one.

This is another scarce round - I've never seen another but I love that it's hammered and not cast. Coos Bay, Oregon centennial 1974
