My $75 late night eBay purchase arrived today: 1913 Type 1 Buffalo PCGS MS64 (OGH)

I thought from the dull photos it had a shot at being beautiful in hand, and it was an OGH so I *****umed it probably hadn't been messed with, so I took a gamble. After some slab polishing with PlastX just now, to get rid of some of scuffs (about 30% gone), I imaged it.



It seems about as nice of a coin as I can imagine owning in a 64 holder for $75, but eye appeal is very biased. What are your thoughts?

    Awful coin. I'll give you $75 because I would hate to see you buried in it.



    I bought a raw 1913 Type 1 raw with a very similar "look", but you got a much better deal for sure.

    Fantastic value for your money. I have looked at a dozen MS64 in pcgs holders, several OGH, of which none are comparable to your coin. Congratulations. Great eye.

    That's one heck of a nice Buff for the grade of 64!! Nice color too. You did a GREAT job imaging this one, a fine job indeed. Yes, I would've been happy with this type 1 for the money you paid.image

    Outstanding! The luster looks better than ms64, just outstanding. The strike appears more average--the detail in the hair knot and hair leading into the braid is not exceptional. But what a nice piece. Well worth the $75 price.
