How long do heritage auctions run?

jessewvujessewvu Posts: 5,083 ✭✭✭✭✭
I want to bid but it says 20 days left... It also says proxy bids end the day of the auction. Does the format change when the auction "goes live"?

Any help would be appreciated.

Internet pre-bidding begins weeks before the actual auction and ends shortly before the auction. Then during the "live" auction you can bid online during the actual auction as the lot crosses the block.

I can remember from years ago the Wisconsin National Bank Notes of the currency portion of the auctions ending after 4 a.m. Today, I think they limit the number of lots per session as to not cause interested parties to overdose on coffee to stay awake. They hammer about 150 to 200 lots per hour. You can do some simple math to ascertain the session length.
