Dang! That's a big safe. I guess the owner never had to worry about someone hauling away that safe with all that silver in there.image

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

Proving once again, people who live on 140 acres are just weird. How much is enough?

Yeah but you're probably not a drug dealer and a murderer stacking silver and guns as the person in the article was, probably not? image

I never understood, even if I had the finances to do so, what is it that people need to feel they need to hide from by owning so much land?

Is it a status thing like, look how small my penis is, but I own all this land and pull my wagon with a Bentley?

Talk about being an keyboard cowboy LOL. Not directed at you coho, just in general.

I know you're not directing that towards me POM, as the ladies all say I'm quite generous.

But to provide insight to the "acreage stacker", you may want to rethink who is actually the wierdo. Is he actually hiding from the wierdos?

You've twisted around what I said, but that's ok. Live it up on the farm or woods.

I agree with renman95. I had the chance to get 23 acres when I was younger and my reaction then is the same as it would be now. wtf am I going to do with that other than work my arse off. I work my arse off enough at work let alone come home and do more "land maintenance".

Don't and wont ever see the need for it, too much of a city boy I guess.

Some see much more work in traffic lights, checkout lines, sewer smells, noisy neighbors, emergency sirens and "hoodlums", than in watching trees grow.

traffic lights, checkout lines: Barely notice them after awhile, it's all just part of it all.

Kind of like the farm animals making the noises they make, after awhile, you don't even notice them.

sewer smells, noisy neighbors: The smells of a farm are not that pleasant either and if you have noisy neighbors...be noisy back. They'll quickly get the message. Haven't had a problem the whole time we've been here and usually get invited to the parties.

emergency sirens and "hoodlums": I'd rather be close to life saving services than dying in the middle of a forest...and the very rare bumb encountered. Give them a buck, they go away quickly. Bumbs aren't around as much anymore, police presence deters them.

I can only speak from my experience, and that is I have found that generally speaking the people who don't want people to be around and feel they need to hide on large lots of land so they can "see people coming" are the ones who can't get along and have no social skills to speak of.

Purely just my opinion, that's all. Nothing more or less.
