I remember you! (And the fact that you're from Down Under, if memory serves?)

Those are really beautiful coins. Early proofs are impressive enough in toned silver, let alone early proof gold!

What made you decide to sell them?

  • Hi LordM , Your memory serves you well, sadly the wife's demands for a new kitchen and bathroom have finally wore me down.

Ah. Well... happy wife, happy life, right? image

Here's hoping you haven't thrown in the towel completely.

  • Not entirely leaving, just found which coins I love and those I do not.

It is a big downsize basically. Still love my coins. image

If those are your castoffs (they'd be top dogs in MY collection!), then your holdings must be impressive indeed!

  • Fantastic coins should get you a commode with a heated seat and maybe a backside washer?

A commode in the kitchen would be fancy indeed.

Amazing pieces - hope they generate some healthy bidding.

Lovely coins. Way outside of my areas, but I especially like the look of the 1826 sovereign. Hope you do well enough to float your project without more sacrifices...

Always interested in St Louis MO & IL metro area and Evansville IN national bank notes and Vatican/papal states coins and medals!

That thaler is jaw dropping. Where/when are these being auctioned if you don't mind me asking?
  • OOPS thought it was bathroom remodel, guess it will be Wolf Appliances. Half Crown is awesome.

Judging from the images, my wild guess would be that Goldberg's is the auction house that you chose, but I could be entirely wrong.

Cruzi, as an old timer, you know that we encourage SSPs here, let alone when so many of us are asking. image

  • Was not sure about the SSP's anymore so kept it low.

These were at Noble Numismatics in Australia, think most of the proofs are heading to be slabbed now.

Commonwealth coins sucked balls, the Imperial proofs did well image
