Can't say whether or not they are illegal, but they've been on ebay for years. Cheap price and probably one sided?

Just for grins, I tweeted the link to the Secret Service. I'm not expecting to hear back. Just like the word 'replica' is advertised on fake coin listings but isn't actually on the coin, I have a suspicion the bills might arrive without the Chinese writing.

It's just play money. Any local Toys R Us sell kind of the same thing.

They are not illegal in China. In fact

Those notes are used by Chinese banktells when they train counting.

Any Chinese bank teller worth their salt has to be well trained in counting US $2 bills.

Not intended as counterfeit, and if they are all marked as indicated, then likely not an issue. Will be interested to see if cmerlo1 gets an answer from the SS..... Cheers, RickO

I remember watching a documentary about the BEP once, and I'm pretty sure they said it was OK to copy US currency as long as the copy is at least 150% original size.

one sided notes are not illegal. Just need two pieces of paper to make one note.

Thank you. I didn't feel like going through the hassle of copying an item number and searching eBay for it, as copying and pasting with my small tablet gets annoying.

Whatever it was is gone, now. Got yanked by eBay, apparently.

It was a stack of 'copies' of 1976 $2 bills from China, essentially. The seller claimed they were 'trainer' notes for Chinese bankers, and they allegedly had Chinese writing stamped on them to indicate they weren't fake.
