Delaware because it was state where I was born, raised and earned my undergraduate degree, and there is not that much numismatic type Delaware stuff to collect
Man you did a lot of typing without knowing whether or not this was going to work.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

And we probably need at least 500 people to take the poll just to get enough responses that 1 or 2 state designs show themselves as being liked more than the others.

Here is a little factoid for you. The image of Caesar Rodney's face that appears on the Delaware quarter is an artist's conception. There are no known portraits of Caesar Rodney because he had facial cancer and was disfigured. In life he was very small in stature and was said to have an head that was about the size of man's fist.
Yet he was a brave patriot who spent more time in the state militia as he did in the Continental Congress. The Delaware quarter design was taken from a stature that stands in Wilmington, Delaware. It depicts Rodney's famous ride when he returned from down state Delaware to break a tie vote in the Delaware delegation for independence. Rodney would sign the Declaration of the Independence.

Yes, when I saw the Wyoming quarter for the first time, I thought that it was carousel pony.

I'm stunned with the votes Delaware is getting. I don't like Delaware and Wyoming because so much of the field is blank. I like a coin design that fills out the field.

As an artist I completely disagree. Clutter is what your asking for.

The more I thought about carousel pony, the funnier it got in my mind.
Also, I really like the look of the Delaware quarter, no carousel pony here!!!

I love "white space" in design.
I think Louisiana missed the boat by not having only an alligator on theirs.
I think California should have had a grizzly and Redwood tree.
New Mexico should have had a majestic Elk.
Colorado should have had a Mountain Goat.
etc, etc.
These are the things I think of when you mention a particular state.

Wyoming!
Not the Raul Ramos II quarter?
If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Sad that Mother Nature had other plans.
...although the Connecticut quarter does look like a Lichtenberg Figure.
