Thanks everybody for all your comments on the 1975 George Brett PSA 9.........
Due to the number of comments on the card, I decided to send it back to PSA for management review and put a new holder on the card to put this card to rest and peace of mind for me. It left for California today I will post the results when I receive the card back rather they are good or bad results. Personality I feel the card is fine it looks good to me but their is that slight doubt..

what was your basis for "management" review? do you think the holder was tampered with? the card looks like most 9's so this seems like the board talking you in to worrying about something for nothing. if you would have posted ,"I just picked up this sweet brett rookie", I am sure the majority of comments would have been "awesome card" or "congrats on picking up a beauty"
I agree with Kendall Cat and Stingray. The bottom-left corner has me very concerned. I disagree with Pack Collector. It is better to be safe than sorry. Good luck with the resubmission Smokie. Please remember to inform us of the results.
"Nobody's ever gone the distance with Creed, and if I can go that distance, you see, and that bell rings and I'm still standin', I'm gonna know for the first time in my life, see, that I weren't just another bum from the neighborhood."
I didn't read it as sarcasm is not allowed. Rather that it is used based on the seller or the poster in question and not uniformly used by the other poster. Basically, I read it as there are a number of hypocrites on this board. Or really on just about any message board. Hypocrites, trolls...a person just can't safely navigate these waters or forests at night. What's a collector to do. Not hyperbole, a metaphor or what have you. But you get the idea. And as in any forest....its best to move on.

thebaseballcardkid what do you not understand about kendallcat saying that sarcasm is not allowed?
Smart move. Holders are just as important as the card for resell. And a hologram on the front of the new holder will ease a lot of people minds vs the old cheap holder.
Hopefully the card turns out to be legit and you end up with a great deal in the end. Intent was not to worry or make light of the card or pickup and hope I am wrong. Just appeared to be off on the bottom edge and corner. Please let us know how it turns out.
Not surprised at all. Awesome pickup, Ron. Congrats.

+1 for me as a grader as well. Like I stated early did not look right but hoped it was for the collectors sake. Glad I was incorrect. Awesome pickup!!

Looks pretty great in the scan, too. The registration on that card can be a little fuzzy sometimes. This one is really, really sharp. It has a lot going for it but I think that's it's best feature.
If it isn't enough that I got a good deal on e-bay, sent the card back to PSA and found it to be PSA 9 in a new holder, now I got a guy named Bobby on Net54Baseball.com saying the card is stolen, What is next for this card................................... Ron
What evidence does this person have to make such an allegation? If the assertion is unfounded by actual evidence, I would file such ridiculousness into the circular file where it belongs.

He's actually not saying that it is stolen, just alerting the public in case it is. Congrats on your pick-up!
Probably best to keep scores like this to yourself. Unfortunately some people can't believe these things happen. Remember the WBTV Ripken minor league thread? I remember when a low grade Orange went for 10k but now there at about 2-3k.
the guy doesn't have any evidence...its just that something similar happened to him....he bought a used cue stick from a pawn shop for $150 and the owner saw him using it so bought it back from him vs possible physical harm....so based on that bad experience he's just alerting people that this brett (or any good deal too good to be true) may be stolen....a bit of a stretch to say that apple is related to this orange...not to mention his original example is "curious"

you're correct...so you should just sell it to me for $700...a nice 40% profit...otherwise who knows what's next....PSA writing back saying it should be a 6 vs a 9?

Congrats on a great purchase. Every once in a while you hit a home run on EBAY and clearly this was one.

this card should have a pedigreed flip after all of this.
