1907 Brenner Plaque Clarity

I was browsing Ebay and saw this listing 1907 Plaque

The seller states 'hundreds' of these were made. Were there really THAT many?
I thought that Brenner originally made like a dozen or something and those are all in museums and whatnot and then made a few dozen more (Like the one in this Ebay listing) but are there really "hundreds" of these out there?
I have plans....sometimes

These were commercially made in several sizes. The round plaque is the real rarity.

Exonumia dealer Paul Cunningham always has a couple of these (in different sizes) when I see him at shows.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I prefer it not plaque mounted.

  • I thought there was a version that was brass ( I know there are some silver ones) that did NOT have the "Trademark" on the side that were the super rare and only in museums?

Be careful with one that is NOT mounted on granite. I got stuck with a counterfeit piece many years ago. A foundry in New Jersey was making them.

What's on the back of that one?

edited to add...the eBay plaque looks to me like an obvious and poorly done cast counterfeit

Yes that one does seem to have unusually marked up surfaces, which are either above or below the surface. I can't tell which.

Here is the one I have.
