I see Jackie O made the image list and she was just issued last month.

To get to 100 he had to go outside US coinage and there are some pretty cool ones.

Didn't look at all of them but lots of new stuff on that list.

It's nice to see numismatic books getting some mainstream press.

Such great news Dennis! It is wonderful to see Ron's fantastic new book given publicity outside of numismatics, and especially a book abut women! If you haven't seen it, this book is so artfully written and beautifully put together - I ordered several copies to give as Christmas gifts!

In case any of you are interested, here's a link to where you can order the book: 100 Greatest Women on Coins

Sure hope that the 1999 Dolly Madison Commem was included. A very striking coin . . .
Oh, but of course, it was designed by Tiffany & Co. & not the US Mint ! ! !

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

The U.S. Mint and that committee should have nothing to say about coin design other than the fundamental theme.....leave it to artists.... U.S. coinage is the dregs of artistic merit. Cheers, RickO
  • I saw a copy of Ron's new book at Long Beach.....its FANTASTIC! Great theme, great design, great individuals. Can't wait to get my copy!

Persuing choice countermarked coinage on 2 reales.

Enjoyed numismatic conversations with Eric P. Newman, Dave Akers, Jules Reiver, David Davis, Russ Logan, John McCloskey, Kirk Gorman, W. David Perkins...
