A nickel ain’t worth a dime anymore

There has been a Jackie Robinson commemorate along with the Baseball Hall of Fame coins.
Do you think Yogi Berra will ever get a commemorative coin?

"When you come to a fork in the road, take it."
"Ninety percent of this game is half mental."
"You can observe a lot by watching."
"It's deja vu all over again."
"Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded"."

  • I think there are too many commems but I would like to see Yogi on one. He represented America in the best way-- D-Day veteran, integrity on and off the field, truly humble (a rarity now).

And you can tell from my logo it pains me to say this about a Yankee.

I am not a baseball fan (or a fan of any ball sport), but Yogi was, for a time, an American icon in sports....it would be nice to see him honored with a coin....Cheers, RickO

I know a guy who was at a spring camp with the Mets and knew Yogi.

I asked him if Yogi really did "say that stuff." He said oh, yeah, all the time.

True story: Yogi, he and a few others were eating at a pizza parlor. The waitress asked Yogi if he wanted his pizza cut in six pieces or eight. Yogi said, "Six. I could never eat eight." The guy said Yogi looked perplexed when everybody started laughing.

    RIP, Yogi.

I have used the pizza line before, but turned around "make it eight, I am really hungry"...I did not know it was Yogi Berra who "coined" it. image

Yes! They're certainly better be a coin made for him. He was not just a great character in baseball, he was a GREAT player as well. Check out his stats. One of his "Yogiisms'; " Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded!"image The Mint could have a different coin of Yogi, having one of his sayings on each coin?

"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
