Found a Colonial Coin In The Coinstar Today

Sort of. Todays leftovers at the local Coinstar machine consisted of a toasted 2001 cent, a 2006 Canadian dime, a 1965 quarter and a Pine Tree shilling.

But, upon closer inspection it is actually a token from 1930 honoring Massachusetts Bay Colony's tercentenary. You just never know what will turn up in the reject bin!

PS- the Coinstar reject slot in the machine where I do my grocery shopping is always empty. Only one time have I ever found anything in it, and it was a corroded Zincoln not unlike the one you have there.
Never anything fun, but I keep looking.
It was a pretty rusty critter, though.
how cool is this

I find a lot of Mexican & Canadian coins, found a counterfeit British 1 pound coin, as well as Euro coins and other foreign items.
I've even found some US silver coins but not too many, and some steel Lincolns.
My prize find was a Triborough Bridge Authority toll token (it's about the size of a half dollar).
<< <i>Trying out the math on the backside of the token; "his daughters dowry was her weight in pine tree shillings"
How much does a Pine Tree Shilling weigh?
How much did she weigh? >>
Though I didn't go so far as trying any math, those questions came to my mind as well.
Surely the story must have been apocryphal? If not, that's an arseload of Pine Tree shillings, even if she was a dainty little gal!
