Seems they charged an 18% buyers premium on many lots instead of 17.5%

may the fonz be with you...always...

Rounded up and hoped nobody would notice?

I tried using their registration form on IE...there is something that IE does not like about it...won't go through...I'll try Firefox when I get to the house.

    Second that, totally agreed!

I really like their auctions, their descriptions of coins are spot on, and image quality is good. Also, it's one of the last places to get reasonable prices, at least for what interests me image

You are an opinionated guy, sometimes you give negative experiences/opinons and now those are called smear jobs by you, I will have to remember that. So when I like something you don't I know it is called, thanks dude and lets celebrate free speech here considering all I said was third rate and does anybody still use them, wow.
P.S. I hope you were charged 18% knowing how flippin cheap you are, it should drive you nuts, I assume Glenn will be getting a call from BSimage >>

You'll have to take your snide opinion and go celebrate your free speech rights somewhere else since there's rules here...

Rule 4) Anyone making libelous remarks concerning any individual, any company, or any other entity will no longer be allowed to post. No more warnings.

Realone, This thread is about a invoicing error... Not about your personal views and rating system of auction houses.

Actually just checked my invoice and total percentage was 17.4999% If I would have won that cent struck on fragment in this sale I would have been able to go pay the difference to them in exact change.

I didn't know that third rate was libelous, it is a form of grading and I purposely used that since that is what our hosts do. So in my world I do not give them a 1, which is the highest one can rate, but I give them a 3, which is pretty good considering 1-10 10 being the worst. Calling an auction house a 3, when imho HA.com and Legend is a 1, Great Collections is a 2, Goldbergs is a 3, and so on. Being in the top 3 isn't so bad but they are no HA.com or Legend imho

I can't wait to hear all about the 8th, 9th and 10th rate auction companies!

<< <i>Well this stupid member wants to see Goldberg #1 again and not behind HA.com, Legend, etc. I would all 3 to be at the same level. I used to see Goldberg catalogs chunk full of great coins in great numbers and now I see the polar opposite. What is wrong with me being disappointed and wanting better for them. The more competition for us the better. They are absolutely behind HA & Legend imho, #3 and that is what I meant by saying third rate, and imho that is a fact albeit a disappointing one considering where they were years ago. >>

Realone there's no need for name calling. This thread was to alert others about an error to the buyers premium charged, which seems like a helpful thing to do.

There was Teletrade, Superior, ANR, Bowers Ruddy, Bowers Morena, Stacks, etc but they are dropping like flies. >>

Please provide specific examples as to why the three exceptional auction companies below are third-rate or worse.

    Bowers and Ruddy
    Bowers and Merena
    ANR

Just because they are no longer in business does not mean they were bad auction companies.
