Slow day here. On the heals of the junk wax box thread, I thought I would see what everyone's favorite junk wax single is.
Mine is the 1990 nnof frank thomas error. An extremely rare rookie variation of a hof player. What's yours?

Love the player, it is his rookie card, and great action.
1989 Donruss Gary Sheffield is a close runner up.
Same reasons.
For his RC cards... They still Make me smile though. Good memories

That gets my vote
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
...but my favorite of all favorites in that era...
1994 Emotion N-Tense Michael Jordan
I opened 5 or 6 boxes of this stuff and was lucky enough to hit the Jordan (I also got Barkley and Malone, but only cared about the Jordan).
my favorite jr. rookie
collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
Favorite junk era football card was A LOT tougher, but I narrowed it to these that I own:
1989 Topps Don Mattingly
1989 Fleer Billy Ripken F/F
1989 Upper Deck Nolan Ryan (throwing the football)
1990 Score Bo Jackson
<< <i>Mine has to be the 1990 Score Bo Jackson baseball/football card. I remember my grandmother taking me to the card shop for my birthday in 1990 and I got to pick out anything I wanted that was $10 or less. Of course...the black and white baseball/football card was sitting there under the glass with a price tag of $10 on it. It was my prize possession for a long time. >>
Mine too. Here's mine - SGC 100 (pop 1).

1) 89 Pro Set Barry Sanders--great action shot. The colors of his uniform with the orange borders pops.
2) 87 Topps Bo Jackson--another great action shot and the Future Stars logo is a piece of art (I love the yellow All Star Rookie trophy too). The colors of the Future Star and Bo's uniform look perfect together.
3) 89 Donruss Griffey
4) 90 Score Frank Thomas--I know the Topps card is more famous and valuable (at least the NNOF version) but when 1990 Score came out, man that was a cool set. The 1st round pick subset was so clean.
5) 89 Hoops David Robinson--That was the basketball card in junior high!

I sold you that card. You got a good deal.
A couple quick favorites:
All 3 key Barry Sanders Rookies are classics, but I chased this one really hard as a kid (because Score was too expensive and the Topps version was only in the traded set).
Such a hot card growing up:
