Does Stack's have an extended payment option?

ProofmorganProofmorgan Posts: 813 ✭✭✭✭✭
Most big auction houses do a 60-90 day pay plan. I couldn't find if Stack's does. Do they? Has anyone used it?

They have sent me a number of emails about an extended payment plan. For me coins have to be "cash on the barrel." I don't borrow money to buy coins.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

If you are referring to Pogue, yes. The other auction, not sure

I was wondering the same about legend, as I was interested in buying a big 5 figure coin from the sale. But I had already asked a friend, for a short term 3 week loan for a portion of the amount. But I fond out they do as well, but you have to contact them prior to the auction. I didn't win it, so it was a mute point for me this time.

Thanks guys. I just wanted to know with the upcoming pogue. I am very against using credit, but there are coins that only come around once....

Most of the time when the coin is over $1000 and you have done this with another auction house.

Payment plans on PQ coins isn't a big deal. My he value will catch up with the interest you pay. I've done it many times.

I will not generally charge a coin/gun/car I do like 90 days same as cash. If the right thing came along I would grab 100k off my credit cards in a heartbeat. Do what you like and what works for you.

Even if that were my rule, I can imagine many scenarios in which I would break it. For example, even if I had to borrow the money, I can't imagine walking away from a coin that I've been hunting for 20 years, and which is priced at half what I think it's worth.

They didn't a year or so ago when I called and asked.

I've done this with Heritage a couple times for the right coins.

I would generally agree but what happens if two or more special coins come up in a short period of time and you don't have enough disposable income lying about?

As spoken earlier, Id borrow it in a heartbeat to catch a once in 20 year coin
