I say at least 20 minutes. It's 25k orders min and likely 30k. Ike was under 10k orders and took almost 10 minutes.

    What he said.

It took two days for the $1 C&C set to hit 50K at 5 sets/household. Both have little downside, and both are driven by a uniquely finished brassbuck.

Since the JFK are also driven by the Truman and Ike sets, I suspect they'll sell out sooner. 24-36 hours.

(Personally, I really hope they last more than an hour. My friend who's buying two sets for me (and yes, I'm paying more than issue price) won't be available right at noon. image )

It will be a quick sellout and anybody wanting a shot at a 70 had better get 2 sets while they are in sealed boxes as they will be few and far between if they are like the first two.

The opened boxes will be selling real cheap on ebay shortly after distribution of them as there will be way too many of them and very few buyers is my prediction.

  • Everyone is so wrapped up in numbers. MS65, MS66 doesn't matter what's in the holder it seems. 17k Truman and Ike those will be the rare ones. 50k Kennedy who cares that's way too many. How many modern commemorative $5's have mint age under 10k selling near melt? 17k is not rare or scarce and you'll never have a problem getting one. 50k too many...maybe but you won't think so Wednesday at 12:00ET.

No doubt this sets will not be keepers in Large numbers.. but will be bought at release by big money computer robot large ordering .. this will take some time 2 weeks? ... to filter into sales..

A 7 minute sell out ...means US Mint behind times in attempts to limit 2 sets per household
