Resealed Packs??

Ok guys, recently got in a few more boxes from someone I have gotten all my unopened material from. Well, in this box of 1982 Donruss I found this PIECE OF PAPER between 2 cards in one of the packs.
What do you make of it?
My first thought is 100% these were resealed as I can see no other way this slip of paper found its way into this pack.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Waiting to hear back from the guy I got the box from.

why reseal 82 donruss? seems like a waste of time
Maybe it was searched at a time when those cards were actually worth something.
I could see someone resealing it to take all the Ripken rookies out (obviously there were none in this box). Best card in box was sadly a Kent Hrbek rookie.

Your source, even if he sold you a resealed box, did not necessarily do it themselves or know that it was in that condition. Hopefully, this is the case and they make it right with you. I know that even the best of the best make a mistake now and again.
You said you'd reveal who they are after they had a chance to respond -- I would say that either way they respond would be very valuable information. If they don't make it right, people would want to know. If they do make it right, it's good to know that they are a seller that stands behind their product.
Sorry...couldn't resist.
Is it possible that this was used to separate stacks of cards in the loading machine and got left in and subsequently ended up in a pack? I spent time working at a printer one summer in my yute and we always had some kind of scrap to separate one batch from the next inserted. We'd leave it sticking out so we could remove it but I could see one slipping in. Do you still have any packs from this box left? How did the roller marks look? The corner folds?

Right now I am looking at what cards I got to see if it seems like a "normal" box. It was 1982 Donruss and I got zero Ripken RC, Stewart RC, Smith RC, Rose or Ryan but three Hrbek rookies. I haven't opened enough of this year to gauge what a typical break would yield.
Unfortunately all packs were opened as this was found in one of the very last packs.
<< <i>All valid points. Have been emailing the seller who was thinking the same thing as they said they have seen this before although it is very rare.

I think collation was as bad as 81, you could get 20+ of a handful of cards in a box or it could be 'expected' distribution (several doubles, a couple triples, but mostly one of each). Collation is useless as an indication or resealing for that issue.
It was a reminder to pay my Master Card bill by Feb 11th.
My bad.
How da HALE did it get in your pack???
<< <i>Aw sheeeet! That's mine.

That said I really appreciate the effort BBCE put into resolving this matter with me. Steve is definitely a stand-up guy and will continue to get my business.
