Yes, if you looked at the coin through the link in the original thread then it was recorded by various cookies on your computer and then it is subject to 'pop up' as a targeted ad in other websites.
Anything you look at becomes their target to sell you now. Being on the internet is about like being in second grade and having the teacher looking over your shoulder now.
I I don't buy on eBay very often, so almost all the items I look at are my own listings. That makes nearly every ad I see an item I sold, usually after it ended...
