ANA Pickup with a little surprise...
Picked this Lady up my last day at the show.....
Got her as a slightly off center, and overall Good Looker.
After I took her out of the 2X2, I got a pleasant surprise up in the Cap....

Wish I could have seen it in hand at the show...
Can we see a picture of the reverse?

Go to Early United States Coins - to order the New "Early United States Half Dollar Vol. 1 / 1794-1807" book or the 1st new Bust Quarter book!
<< <i>Nice die clash, scroll from the reverse; behind the lower curls and underneath the bust...what is up with the "dragons teeth" (triangles) in the cap? >>
These are remnants of the dentils from a previous strike.
Members of the Bust Half Nut Club have always called them "pecker tracks".

Any remaining undertype on the reverse?
It's a beautiful coin, congratulations!

opinions are words spoken by those who have little or no clue on the issue in front them
likes do not pay bills, buyers do
Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.
<< <i>Looks neat. What does the reverse look like. >>
seriously; that is just mean!
.
Lots of character.
Great pickup.

Sorry guys a little late in getting a reverse picture...
LOL ... did you send it off to "6-year photo?"
Wonderful coin, nonetheless!
See http://www.doubledimes.com for a free online reference for US twenty-cent pieces
actually found better photo
that is neat. is it a die gouge fixing an engraver slip from the wing to the motto?
I have been patiently waiting for the reverse picture...checking weekly... waking up in the middle of the night to check sometimes... At last....
Nice coin. Cheers, RickO
should be a neck clash. you can see the base of the neck betweeen the head of the eagle and the motto. you can see lot of cap clashing around k5-6 eagles talons/50c.
i wonder if the QC guy died of yellow fever the winter of '13? 1814 50c pieces are wonderfully a mess!
Was hoping for an expert to chime in...
All I know is what Overton says "The Heavy die defect ridge joins central part of left wing to scroll below E"
I like it
