38.1mm silver. All struck by the Philadelphia Mint. Designer is Frank Gasparro.

Japan is the rarest Class 2 with a net mintage of 86. Majority was melted after Ike's trip to Japan was cancelled at the last minute.

The Paris Summit Class 2 is the most intriguing. The 1960 Paris Summit later collapsed when a U-2 spy plane was shot down in Soviet Union airspace on May 1, 1960. The soon to be released movie, Bridge of Spies, directed by Steven Spielberg, is based on this U-2 shoot down incident.

The Newport Class 2 is Ike's Summer White House medal. The 1960 Summer White House is in Newport, Rhode Island.

Cool medals, I would not mind having one (any) of those!

I take it that these are 0.900 silver?
