The majority of GAI graded packs are authentic like this one.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
<< <i>The stamp looks clean as can be. Does anyone think it is worth grading? I have no clue. >>
Chris ... the only straight "8" that's listed in VCP sold about one year ago for $40.00. Over the past few years a few "7s" have sold ... all for under $10.00.
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Makes me want to open my 58, 59 and 60 cellos that I've had for about seven years but I think I'll hold off for now
Was this a first generation gai flip ie the all silver one and if so, did it have a barcode?? Better yet, did you save the holder fragments and if so, could you please post a pic of the front and back of the flip??
Thanks for putting on a show for us. Your rip brought back many fond memories of '62 when I was 7-8 years old collecting Topps. Here's wishing you some eye-popping grades.
I guess it doesn't hurt to ask but, how much did you have to shell out for the 62 Cello?
Again, a great show. ---Indiana Jones (Brian Powell)
<< <i>PSA 9 cards from 1962 only selling for $100 is criminal. Great rip nonetheless. >>
I agree. '62 are so tough...tougher maybe than the '71s because there are just fewer high grade examples to cull from. I've subbed a relatively small quantity compared to '71 but it's definitely tough to get 8s. When it comes to '62s, I prefer to buy them already graded since the market prices don't reflect the level of difficulty.
Nikklos, congrats on the 9. At least there's some sanity left in the grading game. The others were typical of the results I've been seeing lately. Edited to add, I can see the Malzone and Ruth due to centering. Taylor and Hilman seem to be particularly harsh.

Hilarious! I think howie left his teeth in the clubhouse that day.
<< <i>How many total cards in the pack? >>
According to this 1962 cello pack rip there are supposed to be 12 cards per pack.

Just out of curiosity, if you had a '52 Topps pack there would be no other option but rip it, right?
Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona.

Congrats on the 9. Is it a low pop? (I could look but assume you already have!)
Matt
Both popped today.
Feel not happy. But I think only because Gibbs should 9. And maybe I was doing a little wishing on Hansen.

Edit to add - I don't see any Hansen 9s on eBay. I think therenaround 10 or so of them.
All in all, Got the pack for $500. For me, definitely worth the rip. I've done worse!
