1952 Topps wax pack on eBay

First of all, I don't think I'm blowing it for anyone who's trying to sneak a bid on this pack. I'm sure anyone who's looking for one knows this is out there.

Any ideas where this will end? Wouldn't it be awesome to rip it? (assuming it's the real deal).

I'll guess it will end around $10K. While it doesn't look like an 8 to me, it's nicer than some other 8s I have seen.

The BIN was $9,500 I believe before someone bid. If it was PSA I'd bite.

I keep one with my set. Never been tempted to open it since the value of the cards inside would be highly unlikely to equal the value of the unopened pack. To a large extent the 52 set is full of coach and minor league players

I do remember when Murphy was selling 52 packs for $ 2500 and thinking that was too high

Bishop - nice! I'd love to get one one day. Finding one as nice as yours has been tricky.

Excuse my ignorance, but wasn't 1952 issued in different series? Ie, mantle was in rarer high numbered series.
If so, why isn't the series indicated on the slab?

I believe all series used the same wrapper. So unless it came from a sealed box/case there's no way to know which series it is without opening the pack.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

BBCE had one for $15,000 and I noticed one at another booth but I did not ask the price.
Love those 70's - early 80's packs and boxes...send me a message if you are selling because I am buying

    Psa 5?

I think both were PSA 5 but I am not 100% sure. I am more sure BBCE had a PSA 5 because I checked it out real well. The other guy I am not sure.
