New early bust half

lkeigwinlkeigwin Posts: 16,891 ✭✭✭✭✭
I bid on this one last year and lost. The winner decided to sell it. So I matched his winning bid, a little higher than I wanted. But I think it's a winner.

I picked up a 1818 (AU53 PCGS CAC upgraded to) AU55 from jayPem/Jordy earlier this year and thought that it would be hard to beat...congrats...this one I would gladly trade for.

Gorgeous Half! I would give her an AU55...maybe a shot at 58. Very nice color!

Lance, Congrats on picking up a drop dead gorgeous 1810 CBH!! image

I agree with Tahoe Dale on his "AU-63" Super Coin designation! -- I love the needle sharp obverse strike exhibiting great hair curl detail and full radial lines in every star. image

That coin has Choice Mint State Eye Appeal with beautiful blue peripheral rim-toning. imageimage

That's quite a lovely coin Lance and a very, very tough early date to find anywhere near that nice. I'm sure its worth the stretch!

All of your coins are gorgeous, Lance. This is just another one that's over the top beautiful. Thanks for showing it. Oh yeah, great images too.

I don't know the seller. But I do know some of his coins. He appears to have a good eye and nice taste.

Thanks for the nice comments, fellas! I know a lot of you and I value your opinions.

That's a spectacular coin, Lance! Stunning. I agree with the others who said it's difficult to find an 1820 looking that fine. Wow! Thanks for sharing it!

It's ok.. First thing I would do is get my Dremel out and grind down those ugly crack things. Then let it soak in Tarn-X for half an hour to get rid of the dark staining. I think it would clean up real nice..

Kidding!! She is absolutely breath taking. I might sleep with it under my pillow the first few nights and refer to her as "Precious". That toning is stunning!! Congrats on the nice pick up. I'm envious.

Fantastic addition to an already gorgeous collection. Great move Lance, sometimes to get the right quality coin for your
collection, price has to be second. Again, wonderful acquisition.
