    I finished second in League B.

    I lost by 3 points after:

    - Cam Newton's worst performance of the year

    - Adrian Peterson AND Kyle Rudolph sitting out the 4th quarter because the Giants sucks

    - Alshon Jeffery missing ANOTHER game

    And of course:

    - My opponent picking up Pierre Garcon (who I cut a few weeks ago because he had been garbage all season) to fill in for a suspended OBJ.... Only for Garcon to post a season high in points.

    So, that was a kick in the nuts.

  • 4th again in group B. At least I am consistent!

    Congrats to Rob, Mike, Tim (Grote15), and Jeff (Jeffcbay) for making into the championship round and Rob for pulling it out. Let me know your paypal addresses so I can send you a new year's present asap. image

    And thanks to League A for another fun season and Brendan for running things smoothly in League B!!! Till next year.

    Wow figured our league at no chance at taking the overall Championship with a score in the 120s. Was truly a bloodbath this season with injuries and older players underperforming.

    I will PM over Baz518's PP email addy here shortly.

    League B

    1st = baz518's Percolators w/ a final score of 128.34

    2nd = The Switch Hitters w/ 125.48

    3rd = Fooled by Randomness w/ 109.14

    4th - Fusions w/ 108.56

    Both matchups were super close as you can see and worked out well with how the scoring from 1st - 4th fell.

    Payouts are going out over the next hour if I have received your PP email addy already. If I haven't please PM me your info along with your team name so I can cross you off.

    Payouts have been sent for 1st and Overall to baz518 along with 4th to Fusions. Just need 2nd and 3rd to PM me those email addys. For some reason I can't access all my PMs from before the board "updated" to this amazing 10 year old forum software. image

    Btw, if anyone can tell me how to fix the original post from collapsing altogether, it would be greatly appreciated.

    All of League B has also been paid in full. You got me on how to fix the original post. This forum software is worse in a lot of ways than the prior 15 year old software. image

    Any chance of moving the leagues next year to a "sports" based site? NFL.com or ESPN.com come to mind...

    I hate ESPN's format. Yahoo is the best, imo. Never tried playing on NFL.com.

    Thanks again to Mike for hosting things and running a tight ship!

    Congrats, also, to Matthew and the rest of the winners!

    Add me to the camp that hates other formats and prefers the format of Yahoo for fantasy football. I play under an ID of Matthew in Yahoo but I play all my fantasy sports under the name of a best friend that I lost due to a very unexpected heart attack/seizure at the age of 29 nearly a decade ago. It still is Rob the owner and Wrestling Card King from these forums. My friend and I knew each other's passwords as we would sometimes adjust the line up for each other back in the day when you were not able to get to a computer. I continue to play under this yahoo account for all my leagues as a way to honor a lost friend. Sorry for the long post but I just saw that Grote mentioned Matthew and perhaps others have no idea why it says Matthew when most know that WCK is Rob.

    Having run leagues since 1980, when we were pulling stats every Monday and Tuesday morning from the then 2 Dallas papers, any web based solution is a huge improvement. I am in 3 leagues on NFL.COM, and manage 1, and have found managing the league is very simple on that site. The biggest problem I had with Yahoo was the inability to change any players that might be playing in 4:00pm games once the 1:00PM games got started. This could be a league setting, but this was not a problem at NFL.COM. Any player can be changed within 5 minutes of any game starting. I can understand the level of effort for moving a league from one hosting site to another so I can understand if this has already been discussed and has been vetoed. I have watched your league(s) for many years, and decided to join only this year. I play primarily for the competition and I appreciated a spot being available for me this year.

    Thanks,
    MrG

    Yahoo allows you to make roster changes for players up to kickoff time regardless of what time the game is, all the way up to Monday night. Are you referring to picking up players off waivers? If so, I would agree that would be nice if a player that was questionable could be replaced by a free agent pickup after 1 pm, if necessary, but I'm not sure if that is possible, as all leagues I've been in for which waivers lock, have a 1 pm cut off time on Sunday.

    Yes. That was the issue I encountered. On NFL.COM there are two league settings (also maybe true on Yahoo) "Free Agent Lock Type" = If you want non-rostered players to lock each week at their individual game time, select Yes. If you never want a free agent to lock, select None. For leagues with waivers, "None" means players will only lock when dropped. For leagues with no waivers, "None" will ensure that free agents in your league will never lock."Roster Lock Type" = Set roster team locks from two choices. Game Time will lock each individual player at kickoff of his individual game. First Game will lock a team's entire roster at kickoff of the first game played by a team member.

    Anyone heard from Mike? I sent off a PM a couple days ago to him but haven't heard back yet.

    I already renewed League B so we just have to get League A up and renewed.
