Just finished watching the movie "American Sniper." Man that was some heavy stuff. I thought it was well done all-around. I recall there being some negative talk when it came out, but now that I've seen it, I can't understand why ... there was nothing negative about it that I could see. Anyway, I'm in the mood to celebrate and honor our veterans. Here's what I have imaged to share with you this evening:

She lived with me for 2+ years and passed away this March.
Tough thing to try and get past, but working on it.
Anyway, we both liked the movie.
As a retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief Aviation Ordnanceman, I have some cool images to share:
Did Desert Shield and Storm on the USS Saratoga, the only Carrier to do Shield and Storm. Spent seven and half months away from home. That's tough. Also spent over 100 days at sea with no port call. Thats rough too. Spent most of our time in the Red Sea. We set the record for times "through the ditch" (Suez Canal) at 6. I think the carrier that replaced us broke the record?
Three Aircraft Carriers going to the MidEast to take care of business.
What I used to do for a living:
Loading Sparrow missiles on an aircraft.
I was the leading chief of an F-14 Squadron at the time and the we were the first F-14 squadron to drop bombs on a training range in Egypt.
Pretty cool stuff. The F-14 is now retired. It was a super good time.
I don't have a coin specifically for this purpose, so I will post one of my fav's:
TopographicOceans... I agree.. would make a great $10 bill...
