Just curious but how do you figure it's only worth $12.20, which is current melt value??

There is always a premium for silver dollars. It certainly is not worth anything numismatically speaking. You can buy 1925 MS62 graded coins for less than $35. Take the OPS $19, add in $25 for grading and he has an AU peace dollar for $44. Might as well buy the graded better example.

It's worth more than melt, but is probably not a high value coin. AU53.

Good buy for $19; you would probably pay $10 more on eBay.

Nice one for a Dansco album.

I'd agree that it's in the AU 50-55 range.

    They're tough on this series.

Well, he purchased it on ebay, so.........perhaps it ISNT worth more than $19.

Regardless, for $19, it's good for, as nwcoast said, the Dansco. Though, is that rim damage I see at about 9:00 on the reverse? Looks like a 'dig'.
I'll come up with something, eventually.

AU details, rim damage. Worth only base silver dollar amount. At $19 you probably overpaid. Sorry.

There's a guy who walks around the local coin shows offering to pay $19 for all silver dollars. So I'll say your coin is worth $19.

AU coin and it looks like a fair amount of crud accumulated...might look better after an acetone soak... Cheers, RickO

    .
circulated and a decent bucket price for a decent bucket coin.

nicer ones can be had for nearly the same price if you look a bit.

all-n-all, nice grimy peace for $19.
