'96 mint sets are really special especially for the clad. Yes, they do tend to be hammered
and finding Gems is much easier than other years after '81. PL's are more common as well.

What is the line on Kenndy's neck?? The nickel appears a bit 'baggy'....but I agree... really hammered strikes... Cheers, RickO

Mint Director Phillip Diehl said the W Dime was the gift in the '96 mint set but the entire
set is a gift for mint set and modern collectors. There are half a million nice choice Gem
quarters from both mints in these. It is the most common well struck Gem eagle reverse
quarter by far. The '72-D comes Gem bnearly as often but they aren't hammered like the
'96's.
