I have been finding wheaties quite often in change lately - one or two a week for the past two months.... not sure why. Nothing of great value, but at this rate, I could get lucky... Cheers, RickO
When I was a kid in the 1950's I had a paper route, and such circulation finds were literally a daily occurrence. Many of us here started in precisely that way, filling the familiar Whitman blue folders with our circulation finds. That ability to find such interesting coins in circulation perhaps accounts for why so many collectors today are of that generation. And conversely, the inability to find such 'interesting' coins in circulation today partly accounts for why numismatics is a dying hobby. Silverpop's wheat cents may never see a grading service, but they bring back many fond memories of how I started in this hobby. Thanks for posting them.
They that can give up essential Liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither Liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin

I bet you were 10 years old when you found those wheaties.
