Instead of changing the $10, how about a series of Commemorative $2 bills?

Put the ladies there. It would generate interest in the $2 possibly easing the public into the $1 coin. It would allow designers to create appropriate reverses also. Thoughts??

I like that idea. Maybe bring back some of that artwork on the late 19th/early 20th century notes depicting women. Those are awesome.

Can't wait for the Monica bill, should be a big hit with collectors.

Great ideas! Although not a currency collector, I'm not a fan of changing the $10 bill for the sake of PC. Commemorative $2 bills are palatable though.

The Monica bill should be printed on extra absorbant paper for cleaning up spills.

I like the idea of using the $2 bill..... and commemorate a different woman every five years (or some period) ......That would be an interesting series. Cheers, RickO

This idea makes way too much sense! It will never happen. They still have not eliminated the cent.

I think this would be a really cool idea, Ambro!

I'd like to start the series with Lady Liberty though. image

How about an "Educational Note" with multiple Women depicted?

    This is cool!

I like this idea more and more.... make them truly artistic (such as Keyman's post) and dedicate each year to a woman of noted achievement. Cheers, RickO

There is no space in a cash drawer for a $2 bill.

The same is true for a $2 coin, but that would be preferable over a $1 coin.

No, put it on a bill that is already widely used. Don't relegate one sex to a tender that is rarely used.

For crying out loud, I'd like something to stay the same and unchanged.

Make it a $2 coin, and get rid of the damned pennies to make space in the cash drawers.

Can you say $1 Bill, Roosevelt Dime...Obv of Quarter, Obv of Nickel, $20 bill $100 bill $50 bill (besides some security enhancements over the years the content is basically the same)...and soooo much more is the same...Lincoln cent obv...Kennedy Half.......plenty of things are still the same old thing with dead presidents.

I want to see a return of LADY LIBERTY! image

My theory, and I may be Waaaay off, is that all women want to be considered a "10", that and Hamilton was not a president...then again there has not been a woman president either. So the ten dollar bill is for non-presidents.

To the suggestion of a series of $2 commemorative bills................. What are the odds of those in Washington getting a SINGLE design right, let alone an entire SERIES?! Just sayin'.................image

If you eliminate the $1 bill, sure, add a $2. In fact, eliminate the 1c. piece as well, force use of the $1 coin, and the cash register will be well equipped for this change. Call it progress.
