oops... did not see the above post....stupid page would not load.
"Bongo drive 1984 Lincoln that looks like old coin dug from ground."
2 dog reverse proofs that weren't worth the mint packaging them and selling them
I have 2 70s and a 69 bait going into pcgs
I'm not sure how PCGS will handle the "as struck nature" of the medals I'm sending in. They all seem to have some disturbance in the matte appearance in the same place on the reverse.
1 remaining medal has a noticeable strike thru
the rest of the medals have milk spots.
1 RP has a strange retained struck thru blob.
The rest of the RP have several "finish breaks" and one has a strike thru at 12 on the rim.
I think I can only put together 1 ungraded set that is not totally horrible (more due to the milk spots as all the rest of the RP have issues) out of those not submitted.
I'm keeping that one in reserve
I don't want to make enemies here. The remaining are so bad, I'm reluctant to sell here even for costs. I'm honestly considering returning the remaining ones to the mint. the milk spots and RP finish breaks are that bad.
They may change the household and mintage limits on the next three, but I am sure the mint loves the publicity of one of their coins selling out in 15 minutes.
It is obvious the collecting public loves these one off sets with low mintages. The next three reverse proof presidents are a no brainer and the dealers will have to up their offers for sealed sets of 5 substantially for the Eisenhower.
<< <i>I don't want to make enemies here. The remaining are so bad, I'm reluctant to sell here even for costs. >>
Just say it as it is when you sell them. I sold some REALLY spotted 2006 20th Annie RP's and described and imaged the coins accurately...I was shocked what people paid and I got great feedback from all...some collectors are not as into perfection as others....
...and I would not send them back for another reason...they will just ship them out to someone else...and the circle goes round and round
Are the 2015 more popular than the earlier ones because most of us remember those presidents or is it just the reverse proof that is the big deal ? >>

<< <i>Still cant read the posts. I have it selected at 100 but it will not let me change the 4 to a 5. >>
Okay, if you can't change the data in the address bar, your only other choice might be to login and change the number of messages on a page to something like 75. If you can't see messages 101 and up because of the database problem, changing the number of articles to another number that doesn't divide evenly into 100 will show those articles.
For instance, if you change the number of messages per page to 75, page 2 will show you posts 76->150, and you'll see messages number 101+. You will have a problem when the post count gets to 151, at which point you'll have to change the number of messages back to 100.
<< <i>I changed the " how many pages do you want listed" from 100 to 80 and that worked. >>
I have my "How many messages do you want listed when you enter a thread?" at 50 and I have to change the page number every now and then. Funny, I don't see an option for how many pages you want listed.
Does this look like it was struck thru a piece of wire in the U in his name. Looks like a C in the middle of it that goes thru the bottom of the U and then curves to the right.

Just overtype the page number at the end of the URL with one number up and hit enter.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Just received my set today, had to buy it after market, $135 shipped Not sure what to make of the reverse, it's incuse, like a crater on the moon. Any idea what may have caused this? Nice medal overall, not to flashy or busy, jmo.
EDIT: Just picked up a medal in the capsule for $39.95 shipped, thought that was a decent deal.
So it will allow maybe a little more time at least to buy the Eisenhower, maybe 20 minutes this time. But with ithe the frenzy on the Truman who knows.

If a sinkhole ever forms on the White House lawn, you've got a winner!
Yes, all of the blemishes on the reverse are like tiny pits. The big one in the lawn, above the 5, left of the flag and above the N. I'm surprised this escaped Mint QC.
It is very hard for the mint quality control to catch all these small problems as they don't look at every coin. This is the problem with buying some of these coins on ebay as people are unloading their problem coins and without quality pictures like the one above this is what you get.
<< <i>I still can't get in to get one and I want it for my collection, not to flip.
So frustrating. >>
I was lucky as I pre-sold my 5 sets to a big flipper for short money before i got them from the mint but got back in last Sat to replace the 5 sets for myself. They are supposed to arrive here tomorrow. I will not make that mistake with the Eisenhower sets. I had not been buying from the mint since the fiasco with the hall of fame coins last year but the mint seems to have gotten their act together somewhat now.
I'm glad I held onto 1 set, LOL! Sold the other 4 too quickly!

I did hold onto 1 set also and sold the other 14 I had for a good deal. Set of 4 open went for $600 while the 2 sealed boxes went for $899 each. I'm just hoping I picked a winner in the one I kept. Thinking it is a strike through error. Fingers crossed. Kris
Still going up. Recent eBay sales for opened single sets range from $182 to $197. Could be that presidential set collectors are beginning to compete with flippers for the remaining sets on the market.

The 2014 FDR Coin & Chronicles set is still for sale....3-4 million for that PF $1 vs. 17 thousand for a presently unique to the series $1
17k is just a stupid number for a low cost reverse proof coin....

Is it impossible to increase the "STARTPAGE" number in the address bar by one? (Sometimes two in this thread.)

That has been mentioned MANY times but there are some who still can't grasp the concept....works every time.
On popular threads sometimes I start by adding a page and work my way backward....
...and...I have my pages set at 25 posts not 100
PCGS POP UPDATEThink I got it right this time

Might be a pain, but it'll work...
(I'll PM this to him too... )
That brought up the "5" but did not allow me access so I change the 80 to 49 and it now works. This is so stupid!
Thank you to everybody that has helped me on this.

So will I and so will everyone else. If HSN purchased 1/3 of the AX1's, they may try and purchase half of the Ikes or maybe all of them.

I pre-sold mine to a fellow forum member for WELL below the going price....but, he's a cool person and a deal's a deal.
