Another of the mysteries of Ebay buyers....

Perhaps I've just not had my coffee yet but I just can't help myself on this peculiar Ebay buyer behavior which I've seen many times before:
I sold a few MOD coins on Thursday night in six separate auctions. Three paid instantly, one a few hours later and one a day later. One bidder who sniped the coin in the last second or so has still not paid. The buyer has extensive, rock solid feedback so I'm sure that he'll pay. It's not exactly big bucks so I wouldn't really care if he didn't. I also don't post a payment expected time period so a not to scare of any buyers. So, it's really not an issue at all, just a curiosity. Nonetheless, I've never really understood this. Why snipe a sixty some dollar item in the last seconds and take days to pay? Do these buyers have a snipe program to buy for them perhaps even if they're not around?
I have never not paid instantly for a BIN or a snipe. Of course, that's just me and everyone is different.
Naturally, once he pays I'll rush to ship same day.
Just one of the endless mysteries of selling on Ebay.
Wishing a great Sunday to all :-)

Just the way I do things.

That's the main reason for using a sniping program. Perhaps they went snipe hunting and got lost in the swamp.

Speaking of which, do you or do any of you have a snipe program that you would recommend? I've been very impressed with some of my buyers who snipe literally in the last second. Very useful. I've been tempted to ask a couple of these buyers how they did this after the entire transaction is concluded but I thought that this would be bad form so I didn't. Thanks.
My #1 Low Ball Peace Dollar Set
1) automated snipe program
2) Sunday - why pay Sunday when it will be mailed Monday
3) sleep - I've manually sniped night auction and went straight to bed. Paid the next morning
BTW Auction Sniper has never failed if I bid enough.
There are never any problems with 100% FB buyers otherwise they wouldn't be at 100%
I actually do ship on Sunday as I live near a major Post Office which is open 7 days/week however I realize that this is atypical.
No worries about 100% FB buyers - LOL!
Thanks again.

I use to use auctionsniper, but Gixen is free.
it 100% free and has never let me down in 5 years.
very easy to use. you can set your personal preferrences .
love it. can only recomend it.
NOTE:
Never let EBAY bid for you with their bidding system. It creates a false impression as each step is counted as a bid.
Hence often you see for example: 37 bids and that is what ebay shows. But all 37 bids where from 2 or 3 bidders.
it appears that the item is in demand.
Most other snipers go in at a preset time before the auction ends, anytime between 8 and 3 seconds.
hospital again and was just released today. I immediately texted the seller and paid as soon as I arrived home.
Sometimes the issue is personal and the buyer does not wish to divulge. I have one hundred % positive feedback
since 2004. If, as you said, the buyer had rock solid feedback, I would not concern myself unless it went long enough
without notification that it needed to be cancelled.

I've been thinking about this thread.
What I'm thinking is that perhaps this is a younger buyer who will be using someone elses paypal account to pay. I've seen that a lot lately. An obvious male eBay account using a female's PayPal account. (gotta get permission)
The name is LEE!
