hey i sent out a card the other day both together books like around 100 bv so i want something out of this! so i sent my cards and this is the PM i get:

Shane, I have some bad news for you. I received your envelope and nothing else. The end of the envelope was slit open like somebody had opened it and took the cards out. I hope you sent these insured. I've never run across this situation before so I'm kind of at a loss for words. Do you have any ideas or suggestions. I hate to see anyone lose on this much of a trade. Was looking forward to seing the roy and datsyuk cards. LMK

Now i know Craig is a great trader with many refs so i believe him! but what am i to do with the PO? it wasnt insured, but obviously one of their employees ripped it open! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!!!

Without it being insured not much you can do, execpt file a report with the post office.

I don't know who Craig is, but you must have a lot of trust in him. I think it's exceedingly rare that a postal employee would slit open mail and steal it. That's a serious federal crime that's not worth risking for these people.

That has happened once to me... someone shipped in just a regular brown envelope... and when it got here the end was torn open. Did you send in a bubble envelope or reg envelope? Unfortunately... if there was no insurance on it... then you are going to be out of luck. It is possible that the package was torn open and the cards fell out.

Craig is cbc2002 and I've had nothing but good trades here. All trades that I do I complete. The envelope came to me empty with the end slit open. I don't scam people and never will.

Hey Craig,
Thats really to bad that stuff like that happens. Thats the price you pay for sending in a regular envelope. Also... on a trade that is decent... send it insured... pay the extra couple bucks for it. Chaulk this up to a learning leason ehthockey.

You need to touch your toes so we can all kick you like a field goal. When doing any highend trade, ALWAYS send insured. Now, look what has happened. Instead of spending that extra $1.10, you are out of $100 BV. You live and you learn. Hopefully, you learn from this experience.

I know I was really looking forward to the Roy and Datsyuk cards. They were going into my personal collection. I asked ehthockey if there was anything I could do to help. Like you said, it is a learning experience on all sides.

autobilia - EXACTLY what I was gonna say. I insure when I am sending graded cards, cause in a lot of instances I have heard of them breaking even in a bubble mailer. Also I send insured when the trade it over $30.
