Long Beach pickup

Here's a 1955 set I picked up in Long Beach last week. The P Jeffersons were soaking in acetone at the time of imaging. Cell phone pix. It was nice to find a truly original set.

Perhaps a debate for another time, but is it still an original set if the Jefferson nickel was curated?

Regardless, wonderful looking set! Love the lavender on the Franklin.

Slip some nice white coins into those empty slots, wait 60 years, and presto: Beautiful toners!

The 2 P mint Jeffersons had serious green gunk going on. I'm not sure what the chemical composition was (it was not PVC contamination), but it looked kind of dark green, semi-crystalline.
