Playing with my camera some more + Photoscape = decent photos

I think I finally figured out how to take photos with my Nikon L830. (Amazing what reading the directions will do.) Also downloaded Photoscape for the editing/circle crop functions. Got a little carried away on the reverse of the walker, but take my word for it, the thing is round!
Anyway, feel free to critique the photos, make suggestions, and grade the raw newps!
1898-S - possible 64?

35 Philly walker - 66? (how about that rev. die crack and thumb separation!)

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

right under where the canvas is, the place your image goes, you can see the dimensions, size etc.
if it isnt symmetrical , just click home, to the left of crop, and then resize.
when you save that screen should give you the option to do JPEG quality with a slider bar and a check box. i scroll left all the way to 70% and i still have as
of yet to notice any difference in viewing quality, yet the image size comes down to around half.
im currently working with a couple progs that will permit me to do this en masse with every image i have.
having tens upon tens of thousands of images, my tablet, phone, external hdd, pc, bandwidth, time etc will be even more efficient and the savings
significantly outweigh any minor quality loss.
keep up the good work.
you are getting some uneven blur which means the coin & camera planes may not be parallel/level, or the camera is too close, the coin needs moved away
from center a bit, iso is off, you have camera shake from pressing shutter release or a couple other things.
the morg has a lot of obv contact for a 64 by my standards but i wouldn't be shocked to see it in a 64 holder by today's standards.. it is a pretty coin.
.
What is the preferred ISO setting for coin photography? 200?
To truly appreciate these photos, you should see what my previous attempts with it resulted in:
ya, 200 should be fine. if you went to 50, the diff would prob. be negligible.
big diff in those images! i like seeing before and afters.
.
It's nice when you finally figure it out.
For white Morgans I'm in the 1/160, f8 range try it. Also use your 2 second timer (reduces blur) and set the iso to 100, providing you have plenty of light.
How many lights are you using? How far off the coin are you? I prefer 3 lights about 18" or so off the coin. The great thing about digital photography is that,
you can delete and shoot it again. Trial n error and more trial error. Good job so far.
