New coin photo stand for smartphones.

Was at a coin show last weekend and a guy was set up selling these. It's called a ScoPeek. I thought it was pretty cool. Very easy to use and has a magnification spot to take close ups of variety's and such. I broke down and bought one. So far seems to be pretty good.
Cost was $99.00 plus tax.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
That's really a nice photo. What did you do for lighting?
Thanks!

Actually just used standard lighting in my computer/coin room. I have Philips CFL Natural light bulbs.

I don't remember him giving me a website, but i could have missed that part.
Hope this helps anyone interested in getting one.

He told me they are very easy to assemble, but it takes a dot of superglue to hold the stand to the stage. Everything else just screws together.
The action was very smooth. The 'hole' nearest the stand actually has a 10x lens, the 2nd and farthest hole are just holes. So you the option of no magnification or 10x.

<< <i>Interesting.... $99.00 seems like a fair price... even less than I would have guessed. Cheers, RickO >>
I put in a "request for quote" at Alibaba. You can buy these in bulk for $25 each (for a minimum order of 100).
Knowing that, $99 seems a bit steep -- but I guess, who needs 100 of these? I suppose it's a 300% markup fee for the privilege of purchasing just one.

<< <i>it could be fixed with lighting perhaps, but the stand is casting a shadow over the subject. >>
That's the first problem I see with it.
I use a couple of books stacked up with just the camera lens of my phone hanging over the edge with the downlights at 10 and 2. Works good for basic pics and I'm surprised at the detail/crispness of the images. I use an iPhone 5c and I don't know what megapixel it is.
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

I realize a 2nd phone would be required for this but,,,,,,,,,,,
