2015 P Kisatchie DDO Quarters

Has anyone here seen or read anything about this possible discovery yet?

Funny thing happened today. Instead of feeding the vending machine at work today, I noticed 2 of the new Kisatchie quarters and quickly noticed doubling on parts of QUARTER DOLLAR, the P mm and IN GOD WE TRUST. I literally noticed this earlier today and need to take a closer look at them. I have not ruled out machine doubling yet.

edited to add- I like the reverse design on this one as well as some others in this series. I think the Mint deserves some kudos for the reverses even though I would have considered a new look for Washington... still the satin look on these is an improvement

Looks to be a DDO- Doubling is clear to the naked eye at the P MM and some other letters

In addition, there is doubling in parts of QUARTER DOLLAR , LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST

I suspect we will hear much more about this in the near future.

I did another google search and there looks to be one that was for sale on Ebay. That listing ended on May 18th. The Ebay listing is not my coin nor do I know who the seller is. There are pictures and this example seems to have some of the same characteristics of the two I found. This listing predates the time I found the two that are the subject of this thread that I started. So apparently there are more. I am not going to link the ebay thread here.

Is the one I linked above the one you saw? It is not a doubled die. It is an over used die that shows machine doubling.

In looking at the two I found, I initially thought machine doubling. After looking at it again, a DD seemed possible given the look in other unaffected areas.

Not a doubled die. CoinKat describe the coin as the one on eBay similarly. That being the case, the one on eBay is NOT a doubled die.

Yes, my pics are from one I found that I use as an example now that I have learned what machine doubling and die deteriation doubling is. I just posted them here to see if coinkats coin looked like it. They said it doesn't, so now I'm sitting here in anticipation to see his coin. Thanks, Kris
