you could just ask me at work tomorrow, but since no one else wants to try....

PSA 6 earlier this year at Heritage

since the auction was posted over on the net54 board and Jim Fleck made the drive from 707 last auction - I will say 80% of above + BP.

In the proper venue, that is a 40k card. It will be interesting to see if this example flies under the radar.

Now that it's been "outed" I'd say near 60k like the recent nice 6s at the more widely known AH's. This was definitely the kind of auction that stood a chance to fly under the radar. Very pretty card.

I believe recent 6s have eclipsed 50k. Will confirm later when free but pretty sure.

You are probably right, I just checked VCP and the last registered PSA 6 sale is about a year old, so 50k+ is probably more accurate.

If I was going after that card and people were telling the world about it I don't think I would be a happy camper. I went for a Mantle last night that was a year newer and did not say a peep about it for that reason. I have several newer ones in PSA 8 or better, and after grabbing this one I will have to wait for a centered rookie in my range. See below:

<< <i>Now that it's been "outed" I'd say near 60k like the recent nice 6s at the more widely known AH's. This was definitely the kind of auction that stood a chance to fly under the radar. Very pretty card. >>

"outed"?....I feel safe to say with today's technology that interested parties were well aware of this event (Net54, auctionzip) - and if not, I still saw 3 people at the preview yesterday (including the countries most famous owner of '52 Mantles) that have spent more money on sportscards in one day than many people make in a year.

outside of about 20 lots there really isn't anything to see anyways.

I couldnt really see that well on the 1952 set pictures. But I thought it looked like a reprint set. It seemed there were a couple in this auction.
    Were these not these?
The mantle looked legit but the pics in the set seemed small and I thought they were these
    1952 reprints

How did they look on site?
    Am I wrong?

Yes I am. I was looking at the wrong auction.
    Sorry

That is a beauty. I missed it too. I'm pretty bummed because I would have gladly taken this one. That top left crease appears to be what mainly dragged the grade down, but it's so subtle that it doesn't hurt the eye appeal at all. The centering is amazing.

Seller should have let us all duke it out fair and square. It probably would have hit around 25k.

With BINs it is all about the luck of finding it early. Hitting gym now to burn off boiling rage.

Why is that not a PSA 4 or 4.5. I know it has a crease in the corner, but other than that looks great. Does the crease automatically mean it cant be graded higher than a PSA 3?

I was thinking the same thing. He even offered a $500 discount by check. Looks like I kicked that deal. Oh well not the first or last.image

A discount, too. Wow. Too apoplectic with anger to even work today now over this. I need to hire some intern to constantly monitor eBay 24/7.

I just did a search to look at PSA graded prices from this set and this was at the top of the list.

    Zero

Interesting. Maybe the seller is just painting the tape. I have seen numerous high end cards sold over the years from this seller that end up being sold again by them.
