A buck above melt for these. Pretty sure they're then new Sunshine Mint reproductions of which I am not a fan. But I had $$ in my pocket and because a buck.
We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.

<< <i>Perry, it's a modern sword made by Windlass Steelcrafts, similar in medieval design to this great ouse river sword >>
That's a "Hundred Years' War" sword.

...with encrusted French blood, fake of course.
Anyway, here's one of the gold coins, far less impressive at the size of my pinkie fingernail, this is the 1849 open wreath dollar with "small head" (actually, the stars are just closer to the rim) and this one has the L for Longacre barely detectable at the truncation of the neck, also several stars double-punched or engraved, notably the one at 5 o'clock. Contains Gold Rush Gold!
Premium over "melt" paid, but this fills another spot in the US type and subtype set. The other gold coin will arrive today, and it's even smaller than this one..
