Got out today to a new spot. Figured it had been hit hard previously as it's a pretty obvious spot. Seems like someone was there before, as there were only a few obvious signals. But there was still quite a bit of stuff there. Just had to go slow and listen.
For anyone familiar with a CTX, finally got to see a perfect example of pinpoint target trace in action. Had what I thought was a decent signal, but it nulled at one angle. Put it into pinpoint mode and could see two distinct outlines - one iron and one probable coin. Turned out to be a Barber dime and a nail within a few inches of each other. Pretty neat to see that happen.
Ended the day with:
2 Barber dimes - 1902 and 1904. the 1902 looks to be around VF
1 Silver Roosevelt - 1952
2 IHCs - 1901 and 1902. One of them must have been dropped pretty quickly after minting, there is some good details left
13 wheat cents
1 V nickel - 1910
1 Flat button
Overall a decent day, and hope to get back to this spot soon. HH all!
