<< <i>I think chipping is overrated. I have posted cards people said chipping and they got 10s.
Not suggesting anything here of course... >>
If chipping were overlooked, a lot of those 1980 Topps vending cards would have graded 10 instead of 8-9, lol.
ETA: The chipping is minor on this card, imo. The only issue I really see holding grade to an 8 is registration.

sweet Mays card. never really took a good long look and examined the pose before. check out his forearm. unless Topps was airbrushing muscles onto players, Willie looks like he was bench pressing Volkswagens in the off season.
HOLY CRAP! Willie in both packs! Let us know how you do with the second one. Let's hope for a "9", as it's worth almost 5xs an "8".
STAY HEALTHY!

Willie Mays is my favorite player. I have a picture of us on my eBay page. The forearms are real! But am I not seeing these cards right or are the Mays' looking...dirty?

Nice work, Chris! Congrats! That's some lightning fast turnaround, too!

Congrats Nikklos! I've been reading through a lot of past threads and you have contributed some spectacular content. Your quest for the Gem Henderson by way of 10 vending box rip was awesome to follow. Really happy to see you have such a tremendous pull and strong grade. As many others have said, you have guts to do what you do. And you obviously provide tremendous enjoyment for so many people here.
Conundrum - Loving my unopened baseball card collection....but really like ripping too
