    From the article.

<<"As Smith will explain Tuesday at a press conference at the annual meeting of the American Chemical Society, recovering metals from waste could reduce the need for environmentally-destructive mining programs, and make biosolids a safer source of fertilizer to boot.">>

Do we really need to be mining more gold?

Ya' don't wanna flush yer gold down the terlet.

The Japanese eat some foods that are ofter wrapped in gold foil. This is easily
recover in the sewage system. You could say they've been scraping the bottom
of the barrel in Tokyo for years and years.

Corn can be recycled. You know, we can process the corn for ethanol.
Am sure we could get a lot more use out of _ _ _ _, but…. who wants to be a cherry picker in the land of methane ?
